I was talking to one of my friends this morning on my drive in, and we were having a discussion about whether men and women could only be “FRIENDS.” We are both married, and agree that only a small percentage of opposite sex friends have HONESTLY never crossed the line. We aren’t talking about the male “FRIEND” that you slept with in college, and now all of a sudden it never happened since you were at school in Chicago and now you reside in Orlando where no one knew of the relationship. And guys we definitely aren’t talking about the “FRIEND” who helped you through your break-up!
But what we do disagree on is this: Is it alright for a married person to become “FRIENDS” with someone of the opposite sex AFTER they are married? THOUGHTS?????

I feel you can have “FRIENDS” of opposite sex once married if you don’t actually hang out or talk much with that “Friend”…not safe!
There’s a video on YouTube about this. They surveyed 1000 people. All the women said yes and all the men said no. Then when they asked the women would this male friend date you if u let him. They all said yes. So the conclusion: HELL NO
After being married, you can have mutual friends.
Since I am not married, I cannot speak to that piece of it but I think that a man and woman can be friends. I think when you are honest with yourself and with the other person then it should be okay. I am cool with several guys and there is nothing going on, nothing has ever happened, and not interested in anything happening. Now with all that said, I think it is important to keep yourself in the safe and respectable zone. There is no reason for late night calls or texts. We don’t need to go out and get drunk together. No need to console each other during break-ups. I think those are the things that can push things to the other side then you are looking at each other like how did THAT happen???
