So my FB friend D. Wiggins posted the following statement that a male friend tagged her in:
“LADIES, IF A GROWN MAN SAYS HE’S SINGLE, HE’S EITHER LYING, GAY, OR HE’S NOT WORTHY (SO NO WOMAN WANTS HIM). SO, THEREFORE, YA’LL NEED TO STOP FANTASIZING ABOUT MEETING A ‘SINGLE’ MAN, AND JUST TRY TO GET YOURSELF A ‘GOOD’ MAN!! EVEN IF HE’S SOMEONE ELSE’S!! REMEMBER; ANYTHING WORTH HAVING IS WORTH TAKING!”
My 1st reaction was hold up Bobby Rouse you must read this again, because he didn’t mean what you thought he meant. Upon reading this several more times, I come to the conclusion that I will run from this comment so fast that Carl Lewis in his prime wouldn’t be any competition! I mean come on man I know that women don’t want any man they feel no one else wants, but damn dude you are saying that a man can’t be SINGLE at all? I know that we men always keep one in the back pocket, but again I say DAMN! I’m a man’s man and will support my brothers whether they are white, black, brown, green, or yellow but man I have to denounce this statement to the fullest. LOL.
But on the other hand, I know women who actually think like this and only deal with men who are in committed relationships. There are women who seem to be stand up ladies on the outside, but on the inside they are insecure with themselves and will do anything for attention. Now before you ladies get all up in arms, you know a girlfriend or family member who agrees with the above statement! Thoughts?

Wow… I feel that most men in a committed relationship, almost always come across some of the best women that they never seem to imagine to meet. Same as when a female/male are 1 to 2 months away from getting married. To the comment about keeping one in the back pocket, I never heard it that way, it was always to my male cousins, “SON YOU ALWAYS KEEP YOU A SPARE!” Bottom line is, there is no single man, if he dating a woman, friend with bennifits, or just married… most men that are considered to be single to themself has someone they can call and “kick-it with!”
My own personal thought is, Man/Woman can laim being single only if they are not married or engaged!
WOOOOWWWW to your FB friend!!! Why cant he not be Just single….He may be dating or even have a “friend with benefits” but that doesn’t declare a relationship. ANNNDDD why should we, “grown women” just settle….Kafooey…If he is easily taken then HE AINT WORTH HAVING….
I am still looking at the part about “taking” a good man. WTH? Anyway, I think both women and men fall into this category. We ladies know of a man who is just waiting for us to call him to take us out. No matter his agenda, we too have a spare. And that is okay, just be real about what you do. I think it is a matter of defining “single”. To some people anything up to marriage is single while others believe having a girl/boyfriend takes you out the single category. But I still say that whatever you are doing just be real. We are all grown azz people who should be able to handle the situation. Before you go “taking” someone just remember what the elders said, “how you get him is how you lose him” so don’t get surprised.
The Bible states “when a MAN finds a wife, He finds a good thing. ” WHEN A MAN, NOT A WOMAN”. Women do not HAVE TO CALL MEN TO TAKE THEM OUT. A MAN KNOWS WHEN HE MEETS A WOMAN IF HE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS WOMAN OUT. THE MEN SHOULD DO THE PURSURING NOT THE WOMEN.IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A GOOD MAN, WAIT ON THE LORD, AND PRAY. GOD WILL SUPPLY YOUR EVERY NEED!!!!
IF YOU HAVE READ YOUR BIBLE, YOU SHOULD KNOW THE BOOK OF RUTH, SHE WAITED ON THE LORD, AND GOD GAVE HER, HER HUSBAND BOAZ. THE WORD OF GOD DOES NOT TELL US TO TAKE A MAN, MARRIED, SINGLE, OR WHATEVER. PRAY, AND WAIT ON THE LORD, AND THE LORD, AND HE WILL BE A MOTHER TO THE MOTHER LESS AND A FATHER TO THE FATHER LESS AND A HUSBAND TO THOSE WHO HAVE NO HUSBANDS. WAIT ON THE LORD, BECAUSE THERE IS A BLESSING IN WAITING. MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE THAT READS THIS AND ARE OBEDIENT TO HIS WORD.
